Before that, many people tried to wear 3D printed shoes, but the main problem is that these 3D printed shoes are not comfortable to wear, and this time the special shoes are made up of Doctoral student Troy Nachtigall co-produced with SLEM, a professional shoe innovation research organization.

After a 3D scan of Ms. Bussemaker's feet, the developer created a 3D model of the very close-fitting shoes and printed them with the flexible wire Filaflex. Among them, the handbag is designed and manufactured in the same principle and process as the shoes.

The researchers said that the shoes hinted at the future direction of the shoe: through programming materials, one-pixel creation of features and functions that have not been possible to date. These shoes represent a new model for manufacturing, but because Filaflex is very soft, the biggest difficulty is how to ensure the toughness of the 8 cm high heel.

Although these 3D printed costumes are comfortable to wear, for the sake of insurance, they hope that the minister will give it a try before the official appearance. So the debut of Prince’s Day was the first time the Minister of Education wore these costumes. The specific set of clothing will also be shown at the Dutch Design Week later this year.
