After the appraisal of the "Technology Research" project, the equipment developed by the project has independent intellectual property rights and has reached the international advanced level. It will change the history of similar products in China completely dependent on imports.

According to reports, ultrasonic phased array technology is an advanced non-destructive testing technology and one of the important methods of ultrasonic testing. The relevant research in China started late, and the foundation is still very weak. At present, all domestic ultrasonic phased array testing equipment relies on high-priced imports. In order to develop ultrasonic phased array testing equipment and technology with independent intellectual property rights, and form industrialization, expand product lines, break the monopoly of foreign testing equipment in China, further promote the application of this technology, and improve the level of ultrasonic non-destructive testing technology in China, In 2008, the Hubei Provincial Special Equipment Safety Inspection and Testing Institute applied for the project in the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. This technology is a national-level new technology and new equipment research and development project. It is widely used in aerospace, nuclear power, machinery manufacturing, power, petrochemicals, railways and other fields, and will create huge social and economic benefits.
