Above we talked about the test conditions during the salt spray test and the requirements for the salt solution, the following small series will explain to you what are the test methods for the salt spray test:
First, the initial test
Before the test, the test samples must be visually inspected and tested for performance of other items in accordance with relevant standards. The surface of the sample must be kept clean, free of oil, and free of temporary protective layers.
Second, the test
1. Appropriate spacing should be left between the samples to prevent the salt spray from falling freely on the sample; the salt solution on one sample should not drip on other samples.
2. The relevant time for the test time is selected in accordance with Article 4 above.
Third, recovery
After the end of the test, the salt deposit on the surface of the sample should be gently washed away with running water, and then rinsed in distilled water (Note: the temperature of the washing water should not exceed 35 Â° C), and then recovered under normal environmental conditions for 1 to 2 hours.
Fourth, the final inspection
After the salt spray test is completed, the test samples are inspected according to the relevant standards.
