Three new types of polyolefins are said to have a good price and superior performance in extrusion, injection molding and blown film. Two levels of Hostalen HDPE and one level Moplen Polypropylene (PP) have been produced at basell Polyolefins' European plant. 

Hostalen ACP 5331A HDPE is a blown film grade HDPE that has not only a high modulus of elasticity but also a good ESCR compared to current standards. Resins produced using basell Polyolefins' advanced ACP process can reduce tank wall thickness, reduce tank weight, and shorten cycle times, making it attractive for simple tank production. 

Blown film with Hostalen GX4041 HDPE has good rigidity and impact resistance, can be used for composite film, tear film, film paper, shopping bags and heavy bags. According to reports, the Hostalen GX4041 HDPE offers a wide range of processing, good flatness and film roll configuration. 

Moplen EP 1661 is a PP copolymer for large injection molded parts, heavy boxes and luggage. The resin not only shows a superior balance of rigidity and low-temperature impact resistance, but also has good creep resistance and packing properties. Basell Polyolefins stated that due to the high fluidity of Moplen EP 1661, it is easy to produce large parts like luggage, but also to reduce wall thickness and reduce the weight of parts.
