Clamping Cases for Failure--Lubrication Failure

Fault phenomenon:

â—‡ The ink in the print hits the right side of the printer and there is an unusual noise.

â—‡ The printer feeder does not work or paper feed fails.

â—‡ The printer feed light blinks with a "Communication error" message.

â—‡ The print position is abnormal and shifts to the left.

Solution:

Similar problems are mainly found on the EPSON 700/780/1200 models. The cause of the malfunction is the ink bouncing of the vehicle's travel belt. Lubrication of the ink spindle can solve this problem.

Use a paper towel with LB-A oil to wipe on the spindle of the ink car. Push the ink car back and forth so that the oil is evenly coated on the shaft. Remember not to drop or spray lubricant on the spindle, let alone dripping from the shaft.

Perform the following steps to eliminate the impact and abnormal noise of the ink cart:

â—‡ When the printer is turned on, unplug the printer's power plug, and the ink cart will be at the far right initial position.

â—‡ Below the ink cart that corresponds to the black ink cartridge, there is a small white limiter. A flashlight can be found.

â—‡ Use a tweezer to turn the white limit block forward (facing yourself). Manually pull the ink cart from its initial position.

At this time, the power supply is still off and the ink cart is pushed to the far left until it stops.

â—‡ Plug in the printer or turn on the printer's power switch.

At this time, the printer's ink travel belt will bounce and reposition the initial position. The ink car will eventually stop at the far right initial position of the printer.
