Summary of Inorganic Adhesives and Applications (3)

(4) Uses. For paper, cardboard, corrugated box and box, wood, metal foil, glass, ceramics, foundry sand and other medium-sized adhesive, and the preparation of refractory clay, acid clay. The following is a brief description of several applications.

1 corrugated paper products. Choose 3.2-3.4 modulus water glass, the relative density is 40 ~ 42oBe. The amount of glue applied was 34-49 g/m2 on one side and 49-58 g/m2 on both sides. The speed of the corrugator is initially fixed at less than 20 seconds at 150m/min. After bonding, the bonded product is heated by superheated steam to make it glued. After cooling, it can be cut and boxed, and no buckling occurs. Adhesive bonding of open-cut cardboard can be done by adding 8 to 10% kaolin to thicken the water glass to prevent the glue from infiltrating into the paperboard too much and reducing the lack of glue in the glued joint. Water glass is also suitable for bonding of paper tubes, cardboard and paper.

2 wood. With 3.2 Modulus water glass, low-grade plywood can be produced, the shear strength can be as high as 20 MPa, but the durability is poor, and the strength of the glued joint decreases by 60% within 8 months, and then the strength can be maintained unchanged for four years. For regular users, modified water glass such as albumin, soy flour, lime, etc. is commonly used. In the past, the glue used for wooden boxes and wooden tools was changed to white glue.

3 metal foil. Water glass has the characteristics of odorless, non-toxic, fire-resistant, non-corrosive to soft metal, and resistant to insects. It can be used to paste copper fittings on the wall, plywood is glued on steel plate or soft metal, and aluminum foil and paper are compounded in cigarette packaging. Often used water glass modulus 2.89, relative density 47oBe or modulus 3.22, relative density 41 or 42oBe. a. The aluminum foil is compounded with the paper: the water glass is coated on the aluminum foil with a knurled rubber roller, and the excess glue is removed with a control glue roller. The amount of glue applied is 10-20g/m2. The paper foil is compounded and dried with a steam heater or an electrothermal dryer or infrared light. The product is resistant to water immersion. b. Aluminum sheet and concrete paste, use water glass with a modulus of 3.3. If 25-40% chalk or aluminate is added, the final glue layer is more resistant to water and carbon dioxide.

4 glass, ceramics. The bonding strength of water glass is 3.0-3.3 and the relative density is 41-43oBe, which can achieve good bonding strength. Adhesive glass plate is very strong. The adhesive made from the modulus 3.22, 37oBe water glass 40g and the filament glass wool 1g heated at 60-70°C for 2 days can be used for optical glass bonding or multi-layered shatterproof glass. Balsam similar. The glass-lined equipment was repaired with a modulus 3.2 water glass solution (approximately 30oBe) coated with a thin layer and repaired by radiant heat and then treated with an acidifier.

5 sand molding. The use of water glass can shorten the drying time of the sand mold, but the use of high or low modulus can cause cracking, deformation, or low strength of the mold shell. Modulus 3-3.4 is suitable for neutral water glass, with SiO2 content of 21-23% Na2O content of 6.5-7.5%. If alkaline low-modulus water glass is used, it must be treated with a certain amount of ammonium chloride solution to neutralize some of the Na2O, change the composition of SiO2 and Na2O to increase its modulus. In order to accelerate the hardening rate of water glass, about 2% of sodium fluorosilicate can be added, and its water resistance is also improved.

1. Aluminosilicate

The adhesive is a two-component reactive adhesive with a heat resistance of 1350°C and has good adhesion to metals, ceramics, quartz and glass. The adhesive in WJ adhesive is made of alkali metal lithium, sodium or potassium modified water glass, with a modulus of about 2.7 and a relative density of 40oBe, which has good adsorption and high adhesive force. The curing agent is composed of silica, alumina and additives, and is crushed into powder after sintering. The glue has high temperature resistance and the linear expansion coefficient is similar to that of steel, but it has poor impact resistance and is not suitable for long-term application in the wet state.

(1) Application process. The joint form of the cemented joint is preferably socket joint and groove joint, and the joint clearance should be less than 0.3mm. When the joint is too large, the filler (quartz powder, metal powder, etc.) should be added to the glue. Adhesives shall be rust-removed and oiled. For porous materials, they may be water-absorbed and then glued. When curing, they must be gradually heated to prevent excessive shrinkage.

1 with plastic. The ratio (K) is 2.0 to 2.5 g of curing agent per 1 ml of modified water glass. The amount of curing agent is adjusted according to the season. In spring and winter when the humidity is high and the temperature is low, K=2.2 to 2.5 is selected. In the summer and autumn when the temperature is high and the climate is dry, K=2.0 to 2.2. The weighed material is placed on a plate or cup and mixed with a stick. It can be pre-formulated with single-pack adhesives for use.

2 coating process. Use a stick, a spatula or a brush to apply the glue to the adhered body, and glue and fix it. Generally with the gap control, plane glue is 0.10 ~ 0.20mm; sleeve, slot glued (single side) in 0.15 ~ 0.30mm.

3 glued conditions. The adhesive was allowed to stand overnight at room temperature to cure it initially. Then put a person in the heating box to heat up and solidify in sections, raise the temperature to 60°C, raise the temperature to 80°C in one hour, raise the temperature in two hours to 100°C, rise to 150°C in one hour, and keep warm for 1:5 to 2 hours. Stop heating and cool naturally to room temperature.

(2) Performance. This glue can withstand a high temperature of 1300°C, and its linear expansion coefficient is 11 to 12 × 10-6/°C similar to that of steel, and it is excellent in alkali resistance and organic solvents. The glue is odorless, non-toxic and incombustible; it is a white water-based paste that is alkaline: the density is about 2g/cm3, and the viscosity is 42Pa.s.

Adhesive properties: Socket joint pressure and shear bonding strength (MPa),: carbon steel 53 ~ 59, copper 40, aluminum 30; flat bond tensile strength (MPa): carbon steel 0-32, copper 24, aluminum 20.

Heat-resistance: tensile strength (MPa) of carbon steel bonded parts after repeated cycles of hot and cold cycles: 300°C After heating for 1 hour, it is cooled to room temperature, and it is repeatedly cycled 7 times to above 21; after heating at 600°C for 1 hour Cooling to room temperature, repeated 5 times, more than 12; After heating at 700 °C for 1 hour, there are still more than 10. After the butt joints are heated at 800°C, the shear strength can be maintained above 80%.

(3) Use. Used for bonding, sealing and filling of metals, ceramics, glass, quartz and other materials. Suitable for bonding of materials used in high temperature applications such as engines, electric heating equipment, and oil refining equipment.

Aluminosilicate (C-2 glue) is doped with twice the mass of silver powder, with the C-2-1 inorganic conductive adhesive, the volume resistivity is 10-3~10-4Ω·cm, and the bonding strength is ≥30MPa. Heat 1220°C, suitable for adhesive bonding of conductors. Adding aluminum powder in the rubber compound can be used as a thermal paste, with a thermal conductivity of 1.88W/(m·k), a working temperature of -60°C to +500°C, and flat metal bonded tensile strength ≥23MPa. Suitable for thermal bonding between light materials. It can be used for the repair of stomata holes in parts to be plated.
