On the handling of common problems in pre-press production and output
In recent years, the pre-press production software has become more and more diverse, and the PC platform software requires more and more output. For some reason, the complexity of cross-platform and multi-software integration to produce files has caused such problems during output. How to correctly produce and output the required effects has become a problem that people are very concerned about. Through years of production and output practice, the author proposes the following experiences for reference. 1. About graphics and image software The image processing software is mainly Photoshop. The problem that Photoshop needs to pay attention to is that the resolution of the image should reach the 300 or 350dpi color mode required by the printing. CMYK is generally used, which can make the output color consistent with the production. If you use other modes, there may be a big difference between the output result and the color of the production. This is mainly because the general RIP will automatically convert the mode to CMYK, causing color deviation. The storage format is generally TIFF, which is generally accepted by the production software, and the bottom image can be stored in the editing path. Larger files are best stored in color-separated EPS. First, to avoid image distortions in some software versions (such as PageMaker), secondly, it can greatly speed up the process of forming PS files and RIP interpretation. The vector graphics processing software is mainly Illustrator. Illustrator is quite convenient and excellent in graphic production. The file format EPS is also accepted by various group softwares, and stretching and scaling does not affect the output effect. The main problem is that its 100% black is not automatically overprinted, but is allowed to be empty. You can select the overprint stroke or fill color in the filter-color-black overprint function and then select the overprint stroke or fill in the property window, so that any color can be overprinted, which also brings great convenience to spot color output. In addition, fonts in Illustrator can also be converted to path output, so there is no problem in applying any beautiful fonts. Second, about the group version software The common version software for Apple and PC platforms is PageMaker. The software is relatively mature, but there are still some issues that need attention. The main advantage of PageMaker is that the multi-page production and multi-point positioning functions are more convenient. The disadvantage is that the page size is limited and the font cannot be used arbitrarily, especially Chinese fonts. If you use bitmap downloads, there will be running and missing words. There will be no problems with downloading. The solution is to convert the word into a path in the graphics software, store it as EPS and place it in PageMaker. PageMaker can do spot color and overprint, just select the special color (spot color) in the defined color and check the overprint option. PageMaker needs to pay attention to its own font effects (such as bold, double shadow, underline, etc.), and problems such as ghosting or invalid effects may appear in the output. These font effects are best made in other software. 3. About Office software Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. in Office are not software designed for printing, but office software, so it is more troublesome to deal with. The first is that files cannot be separated by RIP, which brings great inconvenience to color printing. The general processing method is to transfer the text to txt, export the picture to TIFF or EPS, convert it to CMYK, and then re-group it in the group version software and then output it. If it is a black and white file output, the original file can be used to form the PS file directly, but it should be noted that the original file cannot be directly brought to the output center for output. Different software environments do not cause major changes in the layout. PS files generated on the production machine and then interpreted by the output center RIP will not cause the layout problem. 4. About CorelDraw software At present, CorelDraw on the PC platform is widely used. CorelDraw is powerful, capable of producing vector graphics and group versions, and has many special effect functions. It is worth noting that gray is sometimes allowed to be empty and sometimes not allowed during output. In addition to 100% black in printing, generally gray is required to be empty. This requires that the black will always be overprinted in the color separation menu of the printing option. Overprint 100% black and leave the rest gray. In CorelDraw, sometimes RIP cannot be explained, which is mainly caused by too many curves or some wrong hidden characters. At this time, you need to use the queuing method to patiently find and correct this error. In the end, if there is no way to test it, export it to AI, export it to EPS in Illustrator, or export it to other versions (such as CorelDraw The most stable) to output, as long as there is no special effect of the high version, it generally works. There are many types of images that can be placed in CorelDraw, but there are often problems. For example, the background PSD image often breaks when the imposition is rotated, so the image must be rotated in Photoshop and then placed. Some types of pictures or special effects can be solved in the bitmap menu-convert bitmap to CMYK bitmap if problems are found in the output. 5. About Autocad and other software At present, engineering map software such as Autocad, Mapcad, and MapGIS require printing in many cases, but RIP software cannot directly output CAD files and needs to be converted. Usually, Autocad files can be printed by PS printers to generate EPS files, and then RGB colors can be converted into CMYK colors for output in Illustrator. Application software can also be used to merge RGB color EPS files and convert spot colors. The thin lines are output with solid spot colors and then toned in printing to avoid the problem of difficulty in registering thin color lines. 6. About the application of RIP software RIP software can not only be used to interpret PS files, some of the application functions can also play some unexpected roles. For example, HarlequinRIP can output PS files as composite color TIFF or color separation TIFF files. In this way, the entire layout of the group version software such as PageMaker can be output as a TIFF or FPG for users to proof or make online electronic versions. RIP can generally also carry out back-end color separation, provided that the pictures in the file must be in EPS format. The back-end color separation can choose automatic 100% black for overprinting and change the screen angle of any color version, which is very effective in CAD output. The main problems in the production output are the file format, font, black overprint, spot color, layout position or color mode. I believe that through the above several experiences and principles, in more software output, you can easily and freely Realize what you see is what you get. 6-color Lipstick,Lip Rouge,Lip Paste,Lip Gloss,Lip Balm Guangzhou Shishi Daily Chemical Co.,Ltd. , https://www.cosmeticok.com
