Eastman introduced a PET-grade Vorcalor PET CB01S that can reduce reheat time in reheat blow molding without loss of brightness. This PET contains an infrared absorber that reduces the reheat time, which can increase the device yield and reduce the energy consumption of 25% in the blow molding process. Infrared absorbers are generally not used to balance production efficiency and production quality, while Vorcalor PET CB01S is not the same. In addition, the reduced heat input required for Vorcalor PET CB01S parisons (especially stored in cold stores) produces less acetaldehyde.
