The coating roll for dry compounding is usually cleaned with a glue tank and a circulation pump after the end of the daily work. (Excluding 24 hours operation). It is difficult to completely remove the glue with ethyl acetate. A small amount of glue remains on the applicator roller, and it can be plugged for a long period of time. Working in the case of a plug plate, due to a decrease in the amount of glue applied, causes problems such as poor appearance (bubbling) and low peeling temperature.
In order to prevent the occurrence of such quality complaints, we should use peeling (washing solution) on a regular basis to clean the coating roller to obtain a stable coating quantity.
Steps:
1. The glue tank and the coating roll are washed with ethyl acetate.
2. Place 3-4 sheets of film OPP, PET, CPP, LLDPE, etc. in the plastic tank).
3. While slowly rotating the applicator roller, apply a plate cleaner to the surface with a paint brush, and then allow it to stand for 5-10 minutes.
4. Brush the surface of the roller 2-3 times with a metal brush.
5. Do not wash it again with a brush.
6. Wash the solution with 2-3L of ethyl acetate and a fine copper wire brush.
7. Remove the film containing ethyl acetate from the bath solution.
8. Then add about 10L of ethyl acetate to the applicator roll in the tank, and slowly rotate the applicator roll while brushing with a metal brush and a wire cloth until it is clean.
9. Repeat 7 again.
10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 again (in order to completely remove the foreign matter.)
11. Prepare 3-5 L of ethyl acetate, and wipe it with a wire from the top of the coating roll.
12. Wipe the applicator roller with a clean, dry wire.
13. Remove the ethyl acetate in the tank and place the film.
14. The cleaning cycle should be determined according to the appearance of the product, and it is generally best to clean it once a week or 2 weeks.
Precautions:
1. Wash solution SP-751 is a strong acid solution. It must be worn with rubber gloves, protective glasses and masks.
2. The ethyl acetate used in step 5-11 in the operation step can still be used in steps 6-8 if it is restored to contain no foreign matter.
3. The washing solution has a corrosive effect on the metal. If you leave the applicator roll coated with the plate solution for more than 1 hour, the chrome plated applicator roll may peel off, and the cleaning must be completed in 1 hour.
