The general method for the printer to measure the size of the film without positioning holes is to put the film to be printed on the PS plate, measure it with the left side of the ruler, measure it on the right side, and then measure the left and right “ten†of the film to the left and right sides of the PS plate. Distance, the center of the image on the film, the size of the mouth meets the requirements of the press. Obviously, this method is cumbersome to operate, takes a long time, and the printed version is not very accurate. For this reason, in the work, we summed up the method of using the waste PS plate edge to do the printing plate mouthwash rules, and achieved relatively good results. The specific methods are as follows:
1) Punched one side of the exposed, developed waste PS plate (without punching machine, without hole punching), and cut a width of 6 î€ 5 cm on one side of the positioning hole with a single-sided blade. Be careful to trim the edges.
2) On the cut edge strip, first use a ballpoint pen to draw the middle line, and then draw one or two parallel long lines on the edge strip according to the size of the mouthpiece required by each printing machine, so that each parallel line goes to the side with the positioning hole. The distance is equal to the size of the mouth of each printing machine, as shown in Figure 1 (with Roland 700 four-color printing machine port is 4 î€ 3cm, Hyde four-color printing machine port 为 5 î€ 5cm as an example).
3) Seal the painted midline and long parallel lines with transparent tape to prevent wear of the lines after long-term use.
After the above three-step operation, the printing plate and the mouth ruler are ready. How to use it when printing?
1. Align the positioning holes on the regular ruler with the positioning holes on the PS plate. There is no ruler for positioning the holes, so that the two right angles of the ruler are aligned with the two right angles on the side of the PS plate. Use pressure iron (lead) to press on both ends of the ruler. This step is best done on the table.
2. Place the film to be printed on the PS plate so that the scallop line on the film overlaps with the squash line of the corresponding printer on the ruler. The center line overlaps with the center line of the ruler. Then use the transparent tape to fix the fixed film on the PS plate to prevent the film from shifting. Then take the ruler and take the PS plate attached to the film to the printing plate.
In case of special circumstances, when you need to increase or decrease the size of the mouthwash, use transparent tape on the ruler to replace the lined white paper or paper. Increase the size of the mouth with three lines of white paper, reduce the size of the mouth with two horizontal lines of paper. Make the horizontal line on the paper strip or paper piece to the side of the ruler with a positioning hole equal to the new gutter size. The left and right position of the line is determined by the position of the scallop line on the film, as shown in Fig. 2 (for example with the Xunkou 8î€0cm) and Fig. 3 (for the case of the Xunkou size 3î€0cm).
The actual work found that the ruler has the following advantages:
1 î€ operation is simple and convenient.
2 The amount of mouthwash is fast, improving work efficiency.
