· Adobe Illustrator (*.ai) produces illustrations, graphic logos and trademarks, office supplies systems in VI (such as business cards, envelopes, letterheads, etc.), leaflets, posters, packaging... but lack of processing for multiple pages .

· Adobe Pagemaker (*.pmd) is mainly used to produce books, albums, newspapers, magazines, newsletters, e-books and e-books. It automatically generates page numbers, directories and indexes, creates main pages, and can make books. It is the best choice for pre-press design and production of books and newspapers and magazines.
· CorelDRAW (*.cdr) production of illustrations, graphic logos and trademarks, VI basic design systems and application design systems, VI manuals, greeting cards, multi-page leaflets, posters, posters, packaging...... With unique bar code function, automatic The function of adding pages is also suitable for making multi-page pictures.

· Macromedia FreeHand (*.fh) production of illustrations, graphic signs and trademarks, VI's basic design system and application design system, multi-page leaflets, poster posters, packaging, comic drawing, unique drawing tools for TIF or JPG, etc. A variety of image files are vectorized and converted to vector graphics, with unique Flash movie settings and export capabilities for movie setup and testing, and for multi-page catalogs.

Adobe InDesign (*.indd) Adobe's recent product launches. Used for making publications, multimedia, and creating web pages. It combines the functions of Pagemaker and Illustrator, making the application more convenient and practical. It took advantage of Pagemaker's home page setup function and developed a parent-child relationship in the homepage to further improve the creation and management of the homepage (also with Pagemaker's automatic page numbering feature. In terms of drawing, it adopted almost all the excellence of Illustrator. The drawing function can be very convenient to draw perfect graphics directly in the publication, and has the characteristics of Pagemaker for direct placement or link placement of images.It is a very good software that is worth learning and using.

5. About the text:

In general, most vector programs can input, place, or paste text files, and some software may not be able to place Word text documents (such as the 2003 version). That's because the Word text document has not yet produced the 2003 version when the program is available, but using the copy and paste commands can still be done.

For some special fonts of text, its font file should be saved in order to be loaded on the output company's computer device when there is no such font. Otherwise, this type of font will not be output normally.

Currently, Illustrator's punctuation characters for Chinese fonts are not yet correctly entered, and other vector software should be selected for files with more text. Both Pagemaker and CorelDRAW perform well in support of Chinese fonts and symbols. Files with more text should consider using both software.

6. Bleeding and prepress settings are not the same for each program setting.

7. Image > Trapping

For CMYK and spot color (special color) images or graphics, color traps can be adjusted. "Trap" is a type of overprinting technique that avoids the appearance of small gaps in the printed image due to slight misalignment during printing. In most cases, the printer will determine if trapping is required and tell you the value entered in the Trap dialog box.

Trapping is used to correct misalignment of solid colors. In general, you do not need to create traps for continuous-tone images such as photos. Excessive trapping will produce a contour effect. These problems may not be visible on the screen, but may only appear when printing.
