In the mainland of China, UV glazing and UV ink printing processes and equipment were introduced in the 1980s. In the mid-1980s, Hong Kong, China opened a printing factory in the mainland, followed by printing companies in Taiwan Province of China also to the mainland. They first introduced the UV coating process to the Guangdong area and spread to the coastal provinces in the late 1980s. In the early 1990s, Beijing began to have an uv coating factory. At that time, the Tianjin People's Printing Factory also introduced a UV coating machine from Switzerland. At the same time, China's Taiwan-made Uv coating machine and Varnish hit the mainland market. At the same time, Tianjin Ink Factory and Shanghai Ink Factory also developed Uv Varnish. In the late 1990s, printing began with the printing of Uv printing inks. Now UV inks are widely used in cigarette packs, wine bags, stickers, playing cards, labels, bills, and plastic printing products. According to statistics, the installed capacity of UV printers and the use of UV inks are the first in the world.
Now almost all printers can print UV inks, such as offset printing, letterpress, silk screen printing, pad printing, ink jet printing. Various printing machine manufacturers are researching and improving models to achieve UV ink printing. UV offset presses are the largest market in China. The full Uv6+l offset presses in Heidelberg, Roland, and KBA in Germany are expensive, but they have a large installed capacity in China. Japan's Komori and Mitsubishi have also developed UV offset presses. Beiren UV offset presses were also produced in 2005. UV adhesive machines are mostly equipped with UV curing machines. Uv flexo presses were used earlier, and the U.S. and U.S. companies launched the U.S. and U.S. flexo presses with Uv curing machines ten years ago. Almost all unit flexo presses are equipped with a UV curing unit at the factory. Mainly used in film material printing. UV inks are widely used in outdoor advertising screen printing. The reason is that the first reason is that drying is quick and the printing speed can be improved. Second, UV oil can delay the fading time by ultraviolet irradiation in the sun. The inkjet, spray number, and spray bar code sprayers use a large amount of UV ink. Printing with UV ink Color Brightness The color saturation is high and looks more eye-catching, and the ink layer surface can be anti-friction without using a thin film protection. Drink packaging spray UV ink number or bar code friction resistance, scratch resistance, to prevent the loss of code and wipe the number change, can play anti-counterfeiting effect. The counterfeiter will change the shelf life of the box milk to the factory date and then sell it. However, it is difficult to change it with the UV ink, which is resistant to rubbing more than a hundred times.
Gravure UV inks require lower degrees of turn, and UV inks are solvent-free inks, so high-speed UV gravure inks are not yet available on the market, but some print shops use flexographic UV inks for thinner sheets after adding appropriate amounts of diluent. Paper gravure printing. Gravure printing machine UV coating, UV imitation metal etching ink is widely used in tobacco packaging printing. Laser anti-counterfeiting transfer technology is a new process developed in recent years. The method is to coat the surface of the paper with UV varnish, press the laser film pattern onto the UV varnish layer, and UV light is irradiated to lightly UV light to achieve separation of the film from the UV oil layer when the elastic state is drilled. At this time, the security pattern is imprinted. On the UV film, the UV film was irradiated with strong UV light to completely cure the film. The anti-counterfeiting mark thus formed is integrated with the UV film layer, cannot be lifted off, and the anti-counterfeiting effect is increased, which is much lower than the cost of the laser anti-counterfeiting film. At present, the process is applied more and more in anti-counterfeiting technologies such as cigarette packs and drug packs.
The application of UV-curing coatings in China has only begun in the last decade or so and has not been used for seven or eight years. However, the development speed is the fastest in the world. There are great prospects for future development, which can be explained from the following aspects.
The first is the development trend of printing is the richness of printing materials, especially the non-ink absorption of the material needs a large amount of UV ink printing. The second is that with the increase of printing demand, the speed of printing presses continues to innovate, ordinary ink drying cannot adapt to it, and UV inks will show their skill. Third, UV inks are solventless inks, so they have little pollution to the air and are environmentally friendly products. With the continuous advancement of waterborne UV coatings, pure green UV inks are expected to succeed. Fourth, as the cost of UV inks continues to decrease, printing manufacturers will generally use them. The UV ink for offset presses does not require dusting to significantly improve the production environment. Now that UV inks are expensive, UV inks cannot be used in general prints. Fifth, the power needed for UV ink curing is much lower than the energy required for drying ordinary inks. The heat energy needed for screen printing with dry heat inks is more than twice the required energy for Uv ink solids.
Photochemical coating is a flourishing printing material, and related scientific research at home and abroad is developing rapidly with the market demand. It is believed that UV curing technology will be more popular and mature in the field of printing.
