A total of 65 ice-climbing enthusiasts from various provinces and cities across the country, including Beijing, Hebei, Liaoning, Hubei and Sichuan, participated in the competition. Among them, there are both China Mountaineering Association ice climbing instructors, college students and teachers, club employees, and ice climbing enthusiasts from all walks of life.
The competition was held on two Natural Ice Tracks that were 32 meters high and 2.5 meters wide in the Jinshui Lake Natural Scenic Area of ​​Xiayunling. The competition is divided into men's group and women's group difficulty speed races. The two teams play both preliminaries and finals in two rounds. Players are required to climb up the track during the closing time. The men's group each has a 4 minute climbing time, the women's group has a 6 minute preliminary closing time, and the final closing time is 5 minutes. The results of this competition were first determined by climbing the line TOP, and then the time spent climbing the line was higher. The shorter the time spent, the higher the ranking was. Second, if you look at the height of the climb, the higher the height, the better the performance; when the same height is used again, The less time you use, the higher the ranking. The top 8 players in the preliminaries of the two groups entered the finals.
After a fierce competition on the ice wall, Chen Liji from Chengdu Pineapple Motor Climbing Hall finally won the men's team with a time of 52.9 seconds. He also won the men’s team’s crown of last year’s national ice climbing championship. Two and three were respectively Liang Rongqi of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) with a score of 59.63 seconds and Zhang Peijun from Beijing Kaiqi Sports Technology Co., Ltd. with a score of 72.79 seconds. Liang Rui won the women's team with a score of 131.35 seconds. The second and third were respectively Luo Qi of Beijing Jinshi Open Club with a score of 134.74 seconds and Li Lan of Chengdu Pineapple Motor Climbing Hall with a score of 145.45 seconds.
The ice-climbing area in the Jinshui Lake Natural Scenic Area was well received by the event organizers and contestants. Wang Yongfeng said that such large-scale ice climbing sites are rare in the country. In the future, the China Mountaineering Association will join the scenic spots to build ice climbing training bases here. The newly formed national ice-climbing team will also come here for training.
Yang Wanshu, secretary of Xiayunling Village Branch of Xiayunling Township, Fangshan District, Beijing, said that this year the Jinshuihu Natural Scenic Area and the China Mountaineering Association jointly organized the National Ice Climbing Championship with the aim of creating a brand of sports tourism in the Fangshan District of Beijing. The artificial ice waterfall with a meter height of 70 meters is an excellent ice climbing venue. Future scenic spots will be further modified to achieve the development mode of summer climbing and winter ice climbing. At the same time, the China Mountaineering Association will also train relevant technical personnel for the scenic spot, so that visitors who come to visit the scenic spot can also have the opportunity to experience the ice climbing.
According to Yuan Fudong, the coach of the Alpine Exploration Department of the China Mountaineering Association, the national ice climbing championship is the highest level event in the domestic ice climbing field. Through this platform of events, more people are attracted to participate in the ice-climbing movement. Xia Bojun, an old man who had no legs to climb Everest, came to the scene of this competition and successfully completed the men's team circuit climbing to cheer on the participants.
